Cookie Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which browser storage technologies Mahalle Maçı ("the Game", "we") uses at mahallemaci.com and what they are for.

Summary: we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The Game mainly uses local storage (localStorage / IndexedDB) to keep your progress on your device and a service worker cache to work offline.

1. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files that websites place in your browser. Browsers also offer other local storage methods such as localStorage, IndexedDB and Cache Storage. The Game uses these modern storage methods rather than classic cookies.

2. Storage We Use

Type	Purpose	Example
Local storage (localStorage)	Strictly necessary / functional - keeps your game progress, setup and preferences (including your language) on your device for offline play.	mahalle-setup, mahalle-neighborhood, mahalle-tutorial, mahalle-missions, mahalle-locale, privacy notice
IndexedDB	Strictly necessary - keeps you signed in after you log in to an account (authentication state).	Firebase Authentication session data
Cache Storage (service worker)	Functional / performance - caches app files for offline start-up and fast loading.	app shell, images, fonts

These are strictly necessary for the Game to work: if you disable them your progress cannot be saved, you will not stay signed in and offline play may not work.

3. Third-Party Content

Google Firebase: authentication and data services; uses local storage for the session.
Fonts: served from our own server (Google Fonts CDN is not used), so loading fonts sends no IP to a third party and sets no cookie.

We do not use ad networks, social media tracking pixels, third-party analytics/tracking cookies or advertising/analytics SDKs.

4. Managing Your Preferences

You can view and delete cookies and site data (including localStorage/IndexedDB/cache) in your browser settings. The in-game "Reset" option also clears your local progress from your device. Deleting this data may lose your game progress.

5. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page.
